Birth Doula Package

This package includes two Antenatal Visits at your home, each visit will be 1-2hrs, this gives us an opportunity to discuss previous birth experiences, concerns or worries you may have. I can offer help to assist you, in preparing a birth plan. This also helps me to support yours and your partners wishes at the birth. I supply all my clients with an Informational Birth Pack, this contains leaflets with information on exercises to help birth preparation, feeding etc.
I have a wide range of books that you are welcome to borrow (please ask for a list or click here). I am always contactable via phone or email, if you have any questions or thoughts you want to discuss with me and I will always do my utmost to provide the information you require.
24-hour call - this will begin from 14 days before your due date and 14 days after your due date (until baby arrives!). *You can contact me anytime during this period* Continuous emotional & physical support throughout the labour and delivery - I will be with you until the end! I have an Homeopathic Birth kit which you are welcome to use.
After the birth, I then arrange to come and see you for one/two Postnatal Visits. During these visits I can assist in breast feeding if need be, discuss anything you wish and share memories and thoughts about the birth of your beautiful baby. I will also be available for consultation by phone during the first six weeks after the birth.

Finally, your needs are what are important to me, so additional meetings can be arranged.

Postnatal Doula

The first consultation/appointment is free - so we can discuss your needs and, allows you to ask any questions you may have. I offer emotional and practical support to the new parents, in your home, following the birth of your baby. Postnatal Doula services depend on the family and their needs, which changes from day to day. As a Postnatal Doula I do whatever a mother needs to best enjoy and care for her new baby. A large part of this role is all about empowering your family to take care of itself and I facilitate this by offering encouragement and suggestions as well as providing a supportive home environment to enable you as a mother to develop your own mothering skills in a relaxed, stress-free manner. I provide suggestions and help around infant feeding, including breast feeding support, give you space to discuss any concerns and issues and I generally offer a source of information and companionship. I may also help take care of older children, do some food shopping, cooking and occasional light housework, should it be required.

I am flexible and can fit in with you and your family’s needs.

As I am a mother myself, I am unable to work nights – for postnatal work, although I am always at the end of a phone to offer support.I am a non-smoker, fully insured and have a full clean UK driving licence. As I am a Trainee Doula, I only charge £15 per hour. In addition to this I normally charge 42p per mile for my travel expenses.
